New Mexico's caring pet community

Lost Pet?
Start Here.

We're here to help New Mexico pet owners take quick action, organize their search, and connect with a caring community.

The first hours matter.

Take a breath, then work through these steps. You do not have to solve everything at once.

  1. 1
    Search close to home

Check hiding places, sheds, garages, vehicles, and nearby yards. Ask neighbors to look, too.

  2. 2
    Report your missing pet

Send us a clear photo, location, time last seen, description, and safe contact information.

  3. 3
    Contact the right people

Notify shelters, your microchip company, local veterinary offices, and animal control.

Your sighting could bring someone home.

Note the exact location and direction of travel. Take a photo if it is safe. Please do not chase a frightened animal.

Submit a Sighting Report

A simple plan for a stressful time.

01

Make a focused flyer

Use one clear photo, a large “LOST” headline, the location, and one reliable phone number.

02

Share strategically

Post in neighborhood groups and lost-pet networks. Ask friends to share the original post so updates stay together.

03

Track every sighting

Write down the date, time, exact place, direction of travel, and who reported it. Patterns help guide the search.

Keep your pet's information ready.

Neighbors helping neighbors—and their pets.
